Southbury - On Friday, December 10, 2021, Jane Kuzas, age 94 , beloved wife of the late Vincent Kuzas, passed peacefully at River Glen Healthcare Center.
Mrs. Kuzas, born in Ansonia, was the daughter of the late Joseph and Alice (Gabryzewski) Petro. She was a longtime Fairfield resident and was a retired employee of the Town of Fairfield.
Jane is survived by her two loving daughters Valerie Connor of Wilton and Clare Tallon and husband Michael of Fairfield; her two sisters, Paula Nowakowski of Niantic and Margaret Petro of Oakdale, NY; her two cherished granddaughters Cailee Tallon Fiume and husband David Fiume of Stamford and Emma Tallon of Stamford; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Vincent Kuzas; her two brothers John and Stanley Petro; and sisters Frances Jacewicz, Alice Wynnick, Mabel Dural, Cecelia Moran, and Sophie Dutra.
Her funeral will be held on Thursday. December 16, 2021 at 9:15 a.m, at the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Church, 700 Old Stratfield Road, Fairfield. Burial will follow in Mount St. Peter’s Cemetery, Derby. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 15th from 4-8 p.m. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to current and past staff at River Glen Healthcare, Southbury, who have provided compassionate care and love to Jane for more than eleven years.
