Janet M Seman

Janet M. Seman, treasured mother and beloved grandmother, passed away on May 8, 2014. Janet Marilyn Deloya was born on May 22, 1920 to James and Emily Deloya, of Bridgeport, CT. She attended Bridgeport's Central High School, graduating in 1937. Janet married John Seman in 1947 and settled on Tollhouse Lane in Fairfield, welcoming daughter Faith Ann, and son John in the years soon after. She doted on her family and lavished them with unconditional and boundless love. Throughout her life, Janet defied her years, and her challenges, and lived with a youthful and joyful belief in the goodness of others. She saw the best in everyone and would, without hesitation, joyfully give the shirt off her back, the money in her pocket, or the food from her plate to someone who needed it. She was kind and gentle, gracious and good. Janet's passing is a deep loss for many, but especially for those who loved her most: Her daughter Faith Ann, her son John, her grandson Christopher, her grandson Daniel, and her granddaughter Elizabeth. She filled our lives with a love we will forever cherish. We rejoice in the assurance that she who loved us so much is now surrounded by the love of her Lord in Heaven. A memorial service to celebrate her life, and to remember the love she shared so generously with those around her, will be held on Sunday, June 1, 2014, at 3 PM, in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Rd, Fairfield, CT.
