Jean K. Nash, 65, a resident of Fairfield, CT passed away peacefully after a brave fight with Cancer Saturday, February 3, 2018 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Jean was the daughter of Beverly Still and predeceased by her father the late Donald Still Sr. She was born October 23, 1952 in Alexandria, VA however had been a lifelong Fairfield County area resident. Jean graduated from Trumbull High School in 1971 and soon married the love of her life of nearly 46 years Robert W. Nash on April 15, 1972 at Bethany Congregational Church in Bridgeport. Together they raised two daughters, Kimberly Kelly of Killingworth (husband Stephen) and Karren Compasso of Fairfield (husband James). Jean's legacy continues with her four grandchildren, Ashley Kelly, Bailey Kelly, Brandon Compasso and Giovanni Compasso. Jean also leaves behind one sibling, Donald Still Jr. of Meriden, CT and 9 nieces and nephews.
Up until her illness, Jean worked for over 20 years as receptionist for the law office of Leslie Byelas in Westport. In her free time Jean was a member for many years of the Daughters of the Nile. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, dining and discovering new restaurants. Jean spent most of her summers relaxing by the pool with family and friends, supporting her husband Bob and close friends while they drove their Shrine Cars in the parades and dancing the night away at Potentate Ball's.
During Jean's last days she was surrounded by family and friends and many memories were shared with her and every person who entered her room was greeted by her smile and witty sense of humor. Jean was an amazing wife, mom, daughter, grandmother, aunt and of course friend.
Friends may greet the family at the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Rd, Fairfield, CT on Thursday, February 8 from 4 to 8:00 p.m. Services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Fairfield located on 2475 Easton Turnpike in Fairfield, on Friday, February 9 at 10:00a.m with the Rev. Dr. Edward F. Duffy officiating. Interment will follow at Lawncroft Cemetery, 1740 Black Rock Turnpike in Fairfield.
