Joanne J Labella

JoAnne J. LaBella, age 71, of Fairfield ended her courageous battle with cancer peacefully on June 9, 2014 surrounded by her family. Joanne was born on November 26, 1942 in Trenton, NJ to the late John and Anne Jingoli. She was a graduate of Rider University where she earned her BS in Education while working directly for the President of the University and two Deans. JoAnne went on to marry the love of her life, Patrick A. LaBella, Sr., where they owned and operated several small business in Fairfield including the appropriately named Jo-Jo's Newsstand and also a long-time office manager of the Greens Farms Congregational Church. Of all JoAnne's accomplishments in life, the ones she was most proud of, defined her as an individual and speak volumes to her character and sweet nature were her 53+ year love affair with her husband of 49 years, Patrick A. LaBella, Sr., her 5 children and 12 grandchildren. She will always be remembered as a gentle soul, loving wife, nurturing mother, adoring grandmother, protective sister and loyal friend. JoAnne is survived by her husband Patrick A. LaBella, Sr., sons Patrick A. & Nicole LaBella, Jr., Christopher & Sara LaBella, Michael & Suzanne LaBella, Peter & Erin LaBella, her daughter Andrea LaBella and Jerry Capuano, her brother John & Catherine Jingoli, her sisters Jiny & George Breza , Carol & Dave Farrely, her grandchildren, nieces, nephews, sister-in-laws, friends & colleagues and dear family friend Jeanne Purdy who love her dearly and will miss the comfort of her presence. She is predeceased by her grandson Gavin Michael Labella. In lieu of followers, donations can be made in JoAnne's memory to the CT Challenge. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Friday, June 13, 2014 at 10:30AM, meeting directly at Our Lady of Assumption Church, Stratfield Rd.
