John Adam Kwochka, age 43, of Shelton, passed away suddenly Friday, July 14, 2017 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. Born in Bridgeport, John had been a Shelton resident since 1985. He graduated from Emmett O'Brien Technical School and attended The Baran Institute of Technology. John was currently employed by Business Electronics of Wallingford. He was both a Cub Scout and a Boy Scout at St. Michael the Archangel Church in Bridgeport where he was awarded many achievement badges including the Star Scout Award in 1985, the Parvuli Dei in 1986. John loved to write and had a novel published, Sacrifice Your Love, and was currently working on a second novel. He served as an usher at the 9:00 AM Sunday Mass at St. Joseph's Church in Shelton. John was an avid Red Sox and Pittsburg Steelers fan and loved Chevy Trucks. His true passion was listening to heavy metal music, especially Def Leppard, and always looked forward to attending concerts with his wife, Jill. He will be missed by his loving wife, Jill Ciccia Kwochka of Shelton, his cherished daughter, Julie Kwochka of Shelton; his loving parents, John and Patricia (Petrusaitis) Kwochka of Shelton; a beloved sister, Laura A. Millmather and her husband Steven of East Greenwich, RI; loving in-laws, Dominick and Janice Ciccia of Shelton, a devoted sister-in-law, Michele Sebastiano of Shelton and his first cousin, James (JJ) Petrusaitis of Newtown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at11:00 AM meeting directly at St. Joseph's Church, 50 Fairmont Pl, Shelton, CT. Interment will follow in Huntington Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 4-8 PM in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield.
