Joshua R. Ehman, age 42, of New York, NY, passed in his home on Saturday, November 28, 2020. He was born in Poughkeepsie, NY to Karen S. Ehman and Donald R. Ehman, Jr. He graduated from Roy C. Ketcham High School in Wappingers Falls, NY and later attended Western Connecticut State University in Danbury, CT. History always appealed to Joshua; taking special interest in the Civil War and both World Wars. His love of geography inspired dreams of traveling the world. The beauty he experienced in the Hudson Valley truly solidified those aspirations to see and experience more. Josh would not have wanted to be remembered for his mistakes. He was a big-hearted guy who was loved by many, but fell into the grip of addiction. Josh was outspoken but was always willing to help out others in need, even while struggling with his own demons. He loved his family and animals dearly, especially his Guinea pigs. Every year for his birthday, he would hold a fundraiser on his Facebook profile for the ASPCA. On his behalf, a final fundraiser is being conducted for the ASPCA on his profile until December 21, 2020. In addition to his parents, Karen and Don, Josh is survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. Josh is predeceased by his brother, David S. Ehman; grandparents Robert L. and Lois Browning, Donald R. and Betty I. Ehman; as well as James R. Adams. Services for Josh will be announced at a later date when it is safe for family and friends to gather. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Josh's memory to the ASPCA, whether on Josh's Facebook page or through their website www.aspca.org.
