Joyce C. Pelligra

Joyce C. Pelligra, age 80, of Monroe, beloved wife of the late Frank E. Pelligra, died peacefully Saturday, March 14, 2015. She and her husband Frank founded The Smithy Restaurant in Monroe back in 1973. Joyce enjoyed interior decorating and painting with watercolors. Survivors include her three sons, Frank J. Pelligra and his wife Carol of Easton, John Pelligra of Bridgeport, and Dean Pelligra and his wife Carrie of Trumbull; and her four grandchildren: Candice, Maxine, Graham, and Sally Pelligra. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, March18, 2015 at 12:00 Noon in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 S Benson Rd., Fairfield with interment to follow in Oaklawn Cemetery.
