Jozseph Toth, age 82, beloved husband of the late Loreen Vangor Toth and loving father of the late Barron Vangor Toth, of Trumbull, went home to be with his Lord on Friday, July 26, 2019 while at the U.S. V.A Medical Center in West Haven, CT. Born in Hungary to the late Jozsef and Julianna Toth, he came to the United States during the Eisenhower Program and served in the Korean War for 5 years with the U.S. Army and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal. Joe became an American citizen in November of 1962. He was very proud to serve this country and was always so thankful for all the opportunities granted to him that came with being able to become a United States citizen. Joe was a devout Christian and took comfort through hardship through his faith. He was also an avid animal lover, with a special spot in his heart for his dog, Sheema. Jozseph is survived by his sister, Eva Farkas Zoltanne in Hungary. He is also survived by 3 brother-in-laws, Van Vangor (Betty) of Island Falls, ME, Cornell Vangor (Diana) of Hyde Park, NY, and William Bruk of Indiana; as well as several nieces and nephews, and many devout friends. Joe's family would like to acknowledge the excellent care he received by the West Haven VA Medical Center in the Intensive Care Unit and the Hospice Care Unit, as well as give thanks for the care provided by his compassionate home health aides over the years. Services for Jozseph will be held privately.
