Judith Frances Baker, age 72, of Stratford, formerly of Fairfield, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 3, 2016 surrounded by her three loving daughters and her dear niece, Denise Gregory. Born in Bridgeport, the daughter of the late George and Mary Wines, she resided in Stratford where she raised her daughters, and then moved to Fairfield where she lived for many years. Judith was a graduate of Notre Dame High School and attended Butler Business School. She was employed for over 20 years as a budget Analyst for the Department of Defense at Textron Lycoming and Sikorsky Aircraft. Judy is a member of the Gaelic American Club in Fairfield. She delighted in spending time with her daughters and her grandchildren, and later in life, loved to travel around the world. Survivors include her three beloved daughters, Maryalice Morris and her husband Alan of Bellevue, WA, Meredith Baker of Brookline., MA and Elizabeth Moran of Black Rock; a sister, Mary Elizabeth Gregory of Stratford; a brother, George Wines and his wife Patricia of Stratford; three cherished grandchildren, Joseph and Emmet Moran and Henry Morris; and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her former husband Roy Baker; a brother, James Wines; a sister, Mabel Noroian; and her beloved son-in-law, Joseph Moran. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Monday, March 7, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Church, 700 Old Stratfield Road, Fairfield. Interment will be private and calling hours have been omitted.
