Judith Lee Budzik

Judith Lee Budzik, age 63, of Basalt, CO, beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Lorraine Pratt Budzik, passed away unexpectedly on November 14, 2016. Judy was born in Bridgeport on April 25, 1953 and lived in Fairfield prior to moving to Colorado about 35 years ago. She was a graduate of Andrew Warde High School, Class of 1971, and was a resident of the Lake Hills Section of Fairfield. Judy loved the outdoors, rafting, swimming and softball. She was an avid skier and was employed by the Aspen Skiing Company for 34 years. She began her career as a lift operator and most recently was the Guest Services Manager. During the summer months she worked for the Aspen Parks Department. Survivors include her two sisters, Karen Gambardella and her husband Harry of Beacon Falls, CT, Marianne Budzik and her husband Mark Brown of Shelton, CT, a nephew, Joseph Gambardella, several aunts, uncles, cousins, and her many dear friends in Colorado, especially Kristin. She also leaves behind her beloved cat, Jackie. Judy had a magnetic personality and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2016 from 3-5 pm at the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Rd., Fairfield, CT. Interment will be private.
