Kalliopi Filippaki Yannopoulos, age 60, of Westport, beloved wife of 27 years of Dr. Panayotis (Peter) Yannopoulos, passed away peacefully, Monday, December 5, 2016 at the Regional Hospice in Danbury surrounded by her loving family. Born in Athens, Greece, the daughter of Clemanso and Athena Filippakis, she was a Connecticut resident since 1988. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Athens and her MBA from St. Joseph University in Philadelphia. Her career in banking spanned 26 years and most recently she was Vice President at BNY Mellon. Kalliopi will be fondly remembered as a loving daughter, wife and mother and will be sorely missed by all who knew her. Survivors in addition to her parents and husband include her beloved daughter, Natalie Yannopoulos of Westport; a brother, Michael Filippakis of London, England. A funeral liturgy and burial will be held next week at St. Constantine Cemetery in Heraklion, Crete, Greece.
