Kathryn (Kate) Stine

Kathryn M. Stine (Kate), age 36, of Fairfield, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2017. Born in Bridgeport the daughter of the late Kathleen (Kathi) Stine and Charles Miller, Kate had been a lifelong Fairfield resident. She graduated from Holland Hill School, Tomlinson Middle School and Notre Dame High School. Kate loved animals, especially dogs. She was kind and gentle, and bravely battled through her life's struggles. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Survivors include her beloved "big brother", Charles (Chuck) Stine of Seymour; her adoring grandmother, Eleanor Stine of Pennington, NJ; two loving aunts, Mary Ann Downey of Moosic, PA and Joanne M. Smart and her husband Jim of Pennington, NJ; two beloved uncles, Rick Stine and his wife Mary Ellen of Trumbull and Gary Miller and his wife Lisa of Shelton and several loving cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, George Stine and paternal grandparents, Charles and Ruth Miller. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday. November 21, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. meeting directly at Holy Family Church, 700 Old Stratfield Road, Fairfield. Interment will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery.
