Laura M. Burdo, age 103, of Fairfield, beloved wife of the late John Burdo, passed away peacefully Friday, September 22, 2017 at the Jewish Senior Center. Born in Bridgeport, the daughter of the late Pasquale and Margarita Giacomazzi, she had been a Fairfield resident for most of her life. She and John were one of the original parishioners of St. Pius X Church where she was active for many years. Survivors include her grandson, John Bombardier; a great grandchild Alyssa Proctor; great-great grandchildren Ryleigh and Mason Proctor; a brother, Joseph Giacomazzi of Shelton, CT; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, John, Laura was predeceased by her daughter, Linda Bombardier, a granddaughter, Lisa Bombardier and a brother, Frank Giacomazzi. Mrs. Burdo's family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the staff of Jewish Senior Services for the care and compassion provided to Laura during her stay. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Pius X Church, 834 Brookside Drive, Fairfield. Interment will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery.
