Lauraine Ann Slesh (nee Coutermash), 74, of Naugatuck, CT, passed away on May 8, 2023. She was born on February 21, 1949, in Stamford, CT, to the late Edward and Madeline Coutermash.

Lauraine was a graduate of Darien High School, Class of 1967. She spent most of her career as a bookkeeper and held various office jobs. Lauraine was a dedicated wife to her husband Bob Slesh and handled all his business affairs.

In her free time, Lauraine enjoyed baking, decorating, and arts & crafts. She was a talented artist and her creations brought joy to her family and friends.

Lauraine is survived by her husband Robert J. Slesh Sr.(Naugatuck, CT), daughter Cathy M Cullen (Easton, CT), step-son Robert (Allison) Slesh Jr(Spring Hill, FL), sister Susan Fieber (Darien, CT), sister Barbara Greco (Norwalk, CT), brother Ike Coutermash (Easton, CT) , sister in law Charlene Coutermash (Jensen Beach, FL) and her grandchildren Daniel Jacob D’Attilo (Easton, CT) and Nicholas Slesh (Fairfield, CT) . She was also preceded in death by her brother Edward A Coutermash, and her niece Ashley Coutermash. She also has 5 nephews and 5 nieces.

The light of Lauraine’s life was her grandson, Daniel D’Attilo. The bond that these two shared is immeasurable. Lauraine took great pride in being a grandmother to Daniel. The love that they shared will remain in Danny’s heart for the remainder of his life. Daniel’s adoration for Lauraine is endless and vice versa. Lauraine cared deeply for all of those around her and never showed up to a home empty-handed. Lauraine was in many ways, a selfless individual, constantly giving to others in need.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Dementia Society of America. Rest in peace, Lauraine. You will be missed by all who knew you.
