Lauren McCorry

Lauren McCorry, 44, of Fairfield passed away on November 30, 2024. Lauren was born in Norwalk on April 2, 1980 to Elaine Fellner McCorry and the late William McCorry.

Lauren was a graduate of Fairfield High School and Sacred Heart University. She began her career working in the field of Mental Health. She was currently working as a Direct Support Professional with Continuum of Care.

In addition to her mother, Elaine, she is survived by her brother, Brian and his family, Will, Tommy, James and Charlotte. She also leaves behind her beloved aunts, uncle, cousins and friends.

Lauren's love for her family and friends was boundless. It was exemplified in the dedication that she brought to the care of her clients and for which she was recognized by those with whom she worked. She was an amazing aunt who doted on her nephews and niece, who brought her so much joy. Weekend mornings (and afternoons) she could usually be found at their soccer or lacrosse games, cheering them on, always with a hug and a high five.

Lauren had a deep appreciation for the simple things in life. She loved her music, all animals, walks and sunsets at the beach and ice cream. She especially loved her New York Yankees and Long Beach Island, New Jersey where she made many happy memories.

A Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, December 12 at 12:15 PM at the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield. Friends and family may visit from 10:00 AM until the start of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Colorectal Cancer Alliance.
