Laurette Barry Reilly, age 96, of Fairfield, beloved wife of the late David E. Reilly, passed away peacefully surrounded by her four loving children Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at the Carolton Convalescent Hospital. Born in New York, NY, the daughter of the late John and Margaret Barry, she had been a Fairfield resident since 1958. Laurette lovingly raised her four children and when they grew older, she began a rewarding career in real estate sales. She worked for 22 years for Richter Real Estate in Fairfield, retiring as Office Manager. She was a long-time member and Past President of the Fairfield Women’s Club, a member of Fayerweather Yacht Club, the Gaelic American Club, a past member of the Black Rock Yacht Club and a parishioner at Our Lady of the Assumption Church. Laurette was an avid and accomplished bridge player in many local groups. She made close friends wherever she went, and was loved by all who knew her. She will be dearly missed by her four beloved children, Michael Reilly and his wife Elizabeth of Bloomfield CT, Laurie Reilly and her husband Greg Seferi of Half Moon Bay, CA, Margret Philip and her husband Brad of Cohasset, MA and John Reilly and his wife Pam of Brooks, GA; five grandchildren, Christopher Reilly, Jonathan Reilly, Shanleigh Ciena, Sean Philip and Brian Reilly; five great-grandchildren, Dylan, Luke, Noah, Will and Sloane; a sister, Joanne Groth of Auburn, CA and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, David, she was predeceased by two sisters, Margaret Phelan and Ethel Dumper. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 545 Stratfield Road (RT 59), Fairfield. Interment will be private. Friends may call Monday October 17, 2022 from 5-8 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield.
