Lewis Lane

Lewis Lane, 85, life-long resident of Fairfield, passed away peacefully surrounded by his daughters on December 6, 2022. Lewis was born in Fairfield on April 17, 1937 to the late Lewis and Dorothy Wheeler Lane. He was predeceased by his wife Karen .

After graduating high school, Lewis proudly served in the US Army. He was an Automotive Mechanic who owned his own business for many years. In his free time, Lewis enjoyed fixing his house and took pride in maintaining the outdoor space. He especially liked to be able to help others without expecting anything in return. Above all, his greatest joy came from being with his family.

Lewis is the proud father of Lisa Lane of Stratford and Donna Brown. The loving grandfather of Allison and Michael Brown. He is also survived by his sister Alice Finney, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Friends and family may visit at the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Rd, Fairfield on Friday December 9 from 11AM-1PM, a celebration of his life will take place at 1PM. A graveside prayer service will follow at Oak lawn Cemetery, Bronson Rd. Fairfield.  In lieu of flowers, Donations can be made to the Alzheimers Association .
