Louis J. Dimatteo, Jr.

Louis J. DiMatteo, Jr., age 70 of Garner, NC, formerly of Bridgeport, entered into eternal rest Sunday, April 26, 2015 in his home. Lou was born in Bridgeport on March 14, 1945 the son of the late Louis J. DiMatteo Sr. and Muriel Watkyns DiMatteo. He graduated from Andrew Warde High School and had resided for many years in Bridgeport while being employed by the City of Bridgeport City Hall Custodial Department. He retired 10 years ago and moved to Garner, NC. He was an avid NASCAR fan and loved gardening. He is survived by a his son, Daniel J. DiMatteo of Guam; two brothers, John F. DiMatteo and his wife Violet of Milford and Robert L. DiMatteo and his wife Carol of Bethel; he was preceded in death by his daughter Cheryl Pickron; he leaves two granddaughters, Chrissy Fiorito of FL and Hayley Pickron of FL; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends may gather to Celebrate Lou's life on Saturday, May 16, 2015 from 1-4 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield.
