Louis J. Lynas

Louis James Lynas passed away peacefully at home on July 21, 2020 in Fairfield, CT surrounded by his wife and family. He was born on November 9, 1938 in Stamford, CT to the late Paula (Chapla) and Llewellyn Lynas.
Lou is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Marsha. Six children Jim (Jodi) Lynas, Chris (Peggy) Lynas, Kimberly Lynas, Timothy (Gabrielle) Lynas, Jennifer Zeiger and Brett (Jenny) Lynas. Fifteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. His in-laws, Marge and the late Tom Festa, Sister-in-law, Shirley Klein and brother in law Jim Smith as well as 7 nieces and 2 nephews.
Lou attended Fairfield Prep, graduated from Stamford High School and attended Rider College in Trenton, New Jersey. Then went on to Royal Liverpool School of Insurance, majoring in Property and Casualty underwriting.
He worked for many years in the Electronics Industry at Norden Division of UTC, Operations Manager for Path Computer then General Manager at Hamilton Avnet Electronics. Lou was a Real Estate Broker for many years. After his retirement Lou started a building business in lower Fairfield County, building custom homes.
Lou enjoyed fishing, sailing, golf, traveling and spending time with friends and family. Lou could be found many mornings at sunrise striper fishing on Shippan point or the Norwalk Islands.
He was a smart, loving and kind man who spread his love for life to everyone he met. He was also a man of great faith and proudly served as an Altar Server for 8 years at Holy Name Church in Stamford. Lou served for four years as Vice President of the Shippan Little League helping to develop the baseball field at West Beach in Stamford. He also spent many years volunteering at Holy Family Parish and with the special needs group at the Norwalk Oyster Festival.
