Lucy A. Kuroghlian

Lucy A. Kuroghlian, age 80, of Fairfield, beloved wife of the late Richard Kuroghlian, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family Monday, July 29, 2024. Born in Bridgeport, the daughter of the late William and Helen Krushinski, she had been a Fairfield resident for the last 58 years. A graduate of St. John’s High School in Bridgeport, Lucy was a banking employee for various banks in the area including CBT Bank. She then worked for many years as a pre-school teacher’s Aide at Unquowa School, Holy Family School and the Jewish Community Center. In her later years, Lucy enjoyed serving as a receptionist for the Office of the First Selectman. For years, Lucy enjoyed teaching Religious Education at Holy Family Church and Our Lady of the Assumption Church, and volunteered for Operation Hope. She will be sadly missed by her two loving sons, Richard Kuroghlian and his wife Suzanne of Trumbull and Jeffery Kuroghlian and his wife Tammy of Trumbull; four cherished grandchildren, Kylie, Matthew, Caroline and Jack as well as several nieces, nephews and dear cousins. She was predeceased by her brother Eugene Krushinski. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, August 3, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 545 Stratfield Road, Fairfield. Interment will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 4-7 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield.
