Madeline M. Sulkazi

Madeline M. Sulkazi, age 92 of Fairfield, beloved wife of the late Louis F. Sulkazi, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family a day shy of her 93rd birthday, Friday, June 20, 2014. Born in Boswell, PA the daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine DeLaurentis, she had been a Fairfield resident for over 70 years. Mrs. Sulkazi worked in the snack shop at DM Reads and later Macy's until her retirement. She was a member of the Rosary Guild at Holy Family Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus, Columbiettes and was PTA President at McKinley School. Madeline loved cooking and baking, and will be lovingly remembered as a loving and devoted wife and mother. Survivors include a loving and devoted son, Louis J. Sulkazi of Fairfield; a sister, Sarah Parrello of Fairfield; a devoted sister-in-law, Nancy DeLaurentis of Fairfield and other in-laws, nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Louis she was predeceased by two brothers, Anthony and William DeLaurentis and a brother-in-law, Arnold Parrello. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. meeting directly at Holy Family Church, 700 Old Stratfield Road, Fairfield. Interment will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield.
