Marcianna "Marci" Maukert

Marcianna "Marci" Maukert, 87, of Milford, passed away on July 10, 2024, at the Milford Heath & Rehabilitation Center.  Born on December 29, 1936, in San Antonio, Texas she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Edythe Maukert.

As the eldest daughter in a military family, Marcianna moved frequently around the USA during her childhood, experiencing diverse places and American cultures. She graduated from Bridgeport High School and later dedicated over 25 years of her career to the Bridgeport Library, working at the Black Rock branch library providing research assistance to the community from 1955 to 1972.

Marcianna, also known to her family as Carol, was a long-time resident of Milford Connecticut. She loved animals, birds, and nature, often spending time visiting peaceful places in New England, feeding the birds and wild animals, and being one with the natural world. She was an enthusiastic billiards player, frequently seen perfecting her game at the Milford Senior Center with her beloved girlfriends Maryanne, Beverley, Ellen, and T.

Marcianna was an active member of her residential communities, particularly at the former Ryder Park, and extended her selfless support to others, especially the elderly members of her family. She was renowned for her generous spirit and unwavering commitment to helping others.

Marcianna leaves behind her loving sister, Edythe Papp, and three nephews, Nicholas, Jonathan, and Gregory Papp.
