Margaret T. Carleton, 101 years young, of Fairfield, beloved wife of the late Donald J. Carleton, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family in the early hours of Monday, November 1, 2021. Born in Bridgeport, the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Duch, she had been a Fairfield resident for over 70 years. Margaret was a loyal parishioner of Holy Family Church where she was a member of the Rosary Guild. She was a dedicated and loving caregiver to her family and loved spending time with them, especially her cherished grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by three children, Gregory Carleton of Stratford, Kevin Carleton and his wife Sharon of Monroe and Cynthia Marcantonio and her husband Gregory of Stratford; six grandchildren, David Carleton, Melissa Carleton, Meghan Santagata, Patrick Carleton, Sean Marcantonio and Jeffrey Marcantonio; two great-grandchildren, Penelope Margaret Carleton and Reagan Elle Carleton; and several beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by siblings, Ann Sasak, Helen Hozan and Edward Duch, and her beloved daughter-in-law, Paulette Carleton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Holy Family Church, 700 Old Stratfield Road, Fairfield. Interment will be private. The family will greet friends Thursday from 11 AM to the time of the Mass at the Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN), 1500 Rosecrans Avenue, Suite 200, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266.
