Margaret Good Loughrain

Margaret Good Loughrain, age 90, of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Frederick Loughrain, passed away peacefully, Sunday, June 18, 2017 at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Born in Harrisburg, PA, she moved to Bridgeport in 1935, had been a Trumbull resident since 1955, before spending the last few years in Manchester, CT. She was a graduate of Central High School and Rider College. After a long career as a bookkeeper, Mrs. Loughrain retired from Boise Cascade Corporation in 1992. An active member for over 70 years of the First Presbyterian Church of Fairfield, she was a Bible Study leader, on the Board of Trustees and Clerk of the Session. Survivors include her beloved daughter, Carol Giglio and her husband Robert of South Windsor. In addition to her husband, Frederick, Margaret was predeceased by her son, Charles B. Loughrain. Friends may greet the family Friday, June 23, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield. A service will follow the visitation at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Dr. Edward F. Duffy officiating. A reception will be held after the service in the Parlor of the First Presbyterian Church, Fairfield. A private interment will be held in Long Hill Burial Grounds, Trumbull. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 2475 Easton Tpke, Fairfield, CT 06825.
