Margaret “Peggy” (Keim) Shallcross, age 81, beloved wife of 57 years to James C. Shallcross, of Warminster, PA, passed with the comfort of her loving family around her in Trumbull, CT on Monday, May 31, 2021. Born in Abington, PA to the late Catherine (Dillon) and Edgar Keim, Peggy was the seventh of eight children. She met the love of her life, Jim, while working for the Bell Telephone Company in 1961. Three years later, the couple married and settled down to begin their family. She and Jim loved to travel and they saw many parts of the world but she especially loved spending time in Ocean City, NJ with her friends and family. Peggy was an all-around Philadelphia sports fan, cheering for her beloved Eagles, Phillies and the Flyers. She was also a Penn State football fan and enjoyed tailgating with her grandchildren. Peggy had many friends and hobbies; including a card group that lasted over 50 years, a theater group, swim club and bowling friends. Peggy was a faithful congregate of Gloria Dei Church for over 50 years. There was nothing Peggy loved more than cooking for her children and grandchildren; it was how she showed her love. In addition to her husband Jim, she is survived by her three devoted children, Cheryl Bieling (Stephen), Greg Shallcross, and Eric Shallcross; five cherished grandchildren, Connor, Tyler, Kaleigh, Griffin, and Graydon; two loving siblings, John Keim and Dorothy Bradley; as well as 24 nieces and nephews. A memorial gathering will be held in Peg and Jim’s home on Saturday, June 5, 2021 from 12-4pm with a service to be held at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Peggy’s memory to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (www.lls.org).
