Marian Clark Adolphson

Marian Clark Adolphson, 5 days short of her 98th birthday, died January 19 in Bridgeport, CT. She was born in Salem, IL and grew up in Bridgeport, oldest of seven children of Beatrice & Homer Clark, two of whom are still living: Betty Reynolds of Long Beach, CA and Doris Harrington of Ormond Beach, FL. She was married to Carl Bradford Adolphson for 41 years and had four children: Carl Bradford Adolphson, Jr., Lyn Bradford, Lois Gerety (deceased), and Roy Clark Adolphson. She enjoyed her seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A longtime resident and educator in the town of Easton, she touched the lives of many people, young and old. She was involved in multiple organizations of community service. She proudly served in the Women's Army Auxilary Corps (WAAC) during World War II. A small service will be held in the chapel at her residence, the Watermark, at 3030 Park Avenue, Bridgeport, Saturday Jan. 26 at 2:00pm, with reception to follow.
