Marjorie C. Goodfellow passed from this life peacefully at the age of 102. She had been the loving wife of Robert E. Goodfellow who preceded her in death in 1995. They had been married over 50 years. Marjorie was the daughter of Charles and Florence Cederholm and was born in 1921 in Bridegport. She had a brother Warren who also predeceased her in 1997. The family moved to Fairfield in the Stratfield area in 1935. Marjorie was a graduate of Roger Ludlowe High School in 1938 and went on to business school. Her first job was in the offices at Howland's Department Store. During the war, she worked for Auto Ordnance Company who produced Tommy guns for the war effort. Marjorie and Bob met and were married in 1944. After marriage they settled in Fairfield and raised three children: Nancy Lynne Goodfellow Hunter (J. Burton Hunter Ill) of West Virginia, R. Scott Goodfellow (Margaret E. Goodfellow) of Stratford, and David W. Goodfellow of Fairfield. Marjorie and Bob had 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. One of Marjorie's great grand daughters recently predeceased her. She also had two nephews.
ln 1978 Marjorie and Bob purchased Electric Maintenance Service Company in Black Rock. They moved to Easton in 1980 and happily resided there until Marjorie moved to Middlebrook Farms in Trumbull just last year. Marjorie was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Fairfield.
Private services were held at Oak Lawn Cemetery where both she and Robert are interred.
