Marjorie C. Oliveira

Marjorie C. Oliveira, age 98, of Shelton, formerly of Stratford, beloved wife of 63 years to the late Manuel S. Oliveira, passed away peacefully Friday, May 11, 2018. Born in Windsor, VT one of seven children to the late Albert and Lillian Comings, she was raised in Foxboro, MA where she met and married Manuel. While living in Foxboro she helped establish and run her husband's successful construction business, ManMar Construction. Mrs. Oliveira was a gifted athlete and loved playing golf and skiing. She proudly held six golf championship trophies at Foxboro Country Club. She was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. Marjorie and Manuel loved spending time skiing and golfing at their homes in Quechee, VT, Sarasota FL and Myrtle Beach, SC. Her favorite moments later in her life were spending time with her loving great-grandchildren. Survivors include her beloved daughter, Eleanor M. Letsch and her husband Hank of Shelton; two beloved grandchildren, Mark Letsch and his wife Mary-Jo of Stratford and Wendy Bauer and her husband Gary of Stratford; four cherished great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Madison Letsch and Dylan and Colin Bauer; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by six brothers and sisters. A funeral Service will be held Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Greenfield Hill Congregational Church, 1045 Old Academy Road, Fairfield. Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery. Friends may greet the family Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield.
