Mary Jane Elisabeth Carley

Mary Elisabeth Carley, of Easton, beloved daughter of the late Edward H. and Catherine L. Carley, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 22. Mary was a graduate of the Academy of Our Lady of Mercy, Lauralton Hall and the College of St. Elizabeth in Convent Station, NJ. She earned her Master's degree in education at Fairfield University and was a retired elementary school teacher in the Bridgeport school system. Mary was an avid reader and loved to travel. Among her favorite destinations were the Bahama and Bermuda Islands. She is survived by her loving sister, Joan T. Carley Visokay and her husband Richard; and nieces and nephews, Megan J. Adams and her husband Mark, Elisia M. Grogan and her husband John, Richard C. Visokay and Brian R. Visokay. She was predeceased by her nephew, Kevin R. Visokay. In addition, Mary is survived by a grandniece, Caitlin M. Grogan and grandnephews, Kyle and Colin Adams. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, October 29, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. meeting directly at Notre Dame of Easton Church. 655 Morehouse Road, Easton.
