Mary Jane Fitzpatrick

Mary Jane Fitzpatrick, age 88, of Fairfield passed away Thursday evening, January 21, 2016 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport the daughter of the late John and Marion Fitzpatrick, she had been a lifelong area resident. A graduate of Manhattanville College in Purchase, NY, Mary Jane taught in the Bridgeport School system for many years, and later in life, worked at the Fairfield Public Library. Mary Jane will be missed by her cousins and their spouses and children. She is survived by cousins Robert H. Fitzpatrick, Edith F. Webb, and Sister Gail Fitzpatrick, O.C.S.O. and predeceased by cousins Margaret F. Smith, William J. Fitzpatrick, Jr. and John T. Fitzpatrick. She was well fed by her friends at Andros Diner and well cared for by her friends at Grasmere by the Sea and Shamrock Home Care. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 1719 Post Road, Fairfield. Interment will be private at St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. Calling hours have been omitted.
