Maureen P. (Reidy) Fracassini

Maureen P. (Reidy) Fracassini, (Moe), age 58, of Fairfield, beloved wife of the late Samuel L. Fracassini, passed away surrounded by her loving siblings Friday, November 3, 2023.  Born in Bridgeport the daughter of the late Richard and Vivian (Carroll) Reidy, she had been a lifelong town resident.  Moe graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas Grammar School, Notre Dame High School and Katherine Gibbs.  She happily worked for Greens Farms Academy School for the last 24 years where she was beloved by the students, their families, faculty and staff.  Maureen was very proud of her Irish heritage.  She was an active member of the Gaelic American Club in Fairfield where she served as Finance Secretary, Secretary, Treasurer and three terms as President.  She completed classes in the Gaelic language, dance and made numerous trips to her beloved Ireland.  Maureen was instrumental in participating and running the Annual Irish Open golf tournament and never missed the annual flag raising at the GAC on St. Patrick’s Day.  She was a passionate golfer and a member of the H. Smith Richardson Women’s Golf league and for the past 11 years co-chaired the Pink Pledge Golf Outing benefitting the Norma Pfriem Breast Center. Moe loved to travel and was especially delighted to have attended the Masters Golf Tournament. She enjoyed music, attending concerts, and was an incredibly creative cook and a huge Patriots fan.  She will be sadly missed by her siblings, Richard Reidy of Fairfield, Sheila Reidy of Fairfield, Peter Reidy of Vero Beach, FL, Beverly Reidy of Fairfield and Mary Reidy SanAngelo and her husband Mark of Trumbull; four cherished nieces, Kaitlin, Meghan, Maddie and her husband Simon and Caroline.  She is additionally survived by Sam’s sons, Mark, Dean and Gregory Fracassini and their families, several loving cousins, aunts and uncles as well as her beloved dog Juggy.  She was predeceased by her sister, Eileen Reidy and sweet dog, Tipper.  The family wishes to publicly thank Maureen’s two closest friends, Kerry Boland and Eileen Flynn for their love, friendship, laughter and support over the years.  They truly enriched her life.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, November 10, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 1719 Post Road, Fairfield.  Interment will be private.  Friends may call Thursday from 4-8 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Moe’s memory may be made to the Norma Pfriem Breast Center, c/o Meghan McCloat, 111 Beach Road, Fairfield, CT 06824 (www.pinkpledge.org).  For information or to offer an online condolence please visit www.SpearFuneralHome.com
