Maureen Lane Stancarone

Maureen Stancarone, 68 years of age, passed on Friday, September 14, 2018 surrounded by family and friends at Yale New Haven Hospital.
Maureen was born April 30,1950 in Yonkers, New York to the late William and Catherine Cope. She was predeceased by her husband, Nicky Stancarone.

Maureen leaves to cherish her loving memory her daughter, Nicole Stancarone and her fiancé, Steven Aleman from Bridgeport, CT; her sister Dale Limiero and brother-in-law Bobby Limiero, nephew William Limiero and his wife, Lydia, from Cape Coral, Florida, niece Robin Raab and her husband Steve Raab, and nephews Robert Limiero and wife Annmarie, Joseph Limiero, Jeffrey Limiero, great nieces Isabella and Zoey Limiero and Karly Limiero, great nephews, Jeffrey Raab, Mathew Raab, and Jake Limiero. Her dearest friends and neighbors, Sydney Griffin and Vanessa Griffin-Hurwich and Jack Lumley, cousins, and friends.

Maureen was a was a skilled hairdresser and worked at Salon Antonio in New Rochelle, New York making her clients beautiful for more than 30 years. Maureen enjoyed helping others, spending time with family and friends, laughing and wearing a smile on her face. She enjoyed cooking, good food and restaurants, reading, attending concerts, and working in her gardens. She never hesitated to give sage advice to those who needed it. Maureen was a loving and caring person, mother, sister and friend who thought of others first.

To know her was to love her.

Calling hours at Spear-Miller Funeral Home will be Wednesday, September 19, 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm and memorial mass will be September 20, 10:00 am at the Holy Family Church, 700 Old Stratfield Road, Fairfield, CT 06825.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that contributions be made to the Maureen Stancarone Family Trust, in care of Steven Raab, First Successor Trustee, 87 Ward Terrace, Fairfield, CT 06825.
