Michael J. Huber

Michael J. Huber, age 50, of Fairfield, beloved husband of Janine Morganroth Huber, passed away Friday, February 21, 2014 at the CT Hospice, Branford following a valiant battle with cancer. Born in Bridgeport, the son of the late John and Evelyn Huber, he had been a lifelong Fairfield resident. Mike graduated from Andrew Warde High School and attended Sacred Heart University. He was employed his whole career in the liquor business, both in retail and wholesale distribution; his specialty being in wine. Mike enjoyed golfing, swimming and reading the newspaper daily but above all else, loved spending time with his family and friends. He had a great sense of humor and loved telling jokes and making people laugh. Survivors in addition to his loving wife Janine include three beloved children, Tim, Julia and Annie all of Fairfield; three brothers, Richard J. Huber and his wife Donna, Tom Huber and his wife Kathy and John Huber and his wife Lori; his mother-in-law, Jean Tighe; several cherished nieces and nephews; and his beloved Golden Retriever, Doodles. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday. February 26, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Church, 700 Old Stratfield Rd., Fairfield. Interment will be private. Friends may call Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield.
