Michael Peter Neverdousky

Michael Peter Neverdousky, of Fairfield, Connecticut, loving brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, passed away in his sleep on Thursday, June 6, 2024, due to complications of chronic illness. He was 58 years old.

Mike was born September 30, 1965, in Bridgeport, CT to the late Joseph Neverdousky, Jr. and Ruth Ellen (Young) Neverdousky.  Throughout his life, he cultivated his hobbies and career with equal passion, excelling in his profession of fine dining service and in his pastimes of fishing and bocce.

Michael grew up by the beach in Fairfield and was a graduate of Roger Ludlowe High School, Class of 1984.  He played Little League baseball, Pop Warner and high school football. In his younger days Mike also enjoyed playing the bass guitar with his cousin Dan.

After high school, Mike became a waiter and worked at fine dining establishments such as Tommy’s in Fairfield and Tavern on the Main in Westport.   He loved to cook and enjoy great food and spirits with family and friends.  When he wasn’t stopping at his favorite spots in town, Mike could often be found fishing on the Sound, at St. Mary’s by the Sea, and in earlier years at the Cape.  Mike took great pleasure in riding his recently purchased Harley Davidson motorcycle and was a member of the Norden Club in Bridgeport.

Michael was a gentle, fun-loving, generous soul with a warm sense of humor, and nothing gave him greater pleasure than being with friends and family. Mike always looked forward to Monday nights playing bocce with his brother Joe on the bocce team “Never Doubt Me."  He loved the bocce community, and team “Never Doubt Me” won a couple of hard-sought championships.  Avid lifelong football fans, Mike and Joe especially loved watching Giants games together.

Mike is survived by his loving brother Joseph Neverdousky, III, with whom he lived for the past 15 years; his Irish twin Pamela Pottinger and her husband Stefan; and his sister Kristin Dunn and husband TJ.  He also leaves behind his nephew Erik Pottinger and his wife Audrey; his niece Kayla Pottinger; and special cousin Daniel Young.  Mike will be fondly remembered by his extended family and many friends.
