Nancy Ford Weikert

Nancy Ford Weikert, age 85, a longtime resident Fairfield county, specifically Bridgeport, passed away Wednesday May 31st, 2017, in Bridgeport hospital. Nancy is survived by her Husband of 60 years, John Weikert of Bridgeport, and their daughter Kathy Weikert Figgis of Stratford. She also leaves one very loved grandson, Tyler Figgis. Nancy was born on April 21st, 1932 in Bronxville, NY to her parents Ed and Ruth. Although she attended Bronxville High School, she did graduate in Fergus Falls, MN. She received her Associate's Degree from Penn Hall Junior College in Chambersburg, PA. Nancy will always be famous for enjoying a Caesar salad with salmon (no croutons). Along with her weekly game of bridge, she was an avid reader of Mary Higgins Clark novels and anything that involves a good mystery; it seems fitting that she volunteered at the Fairfield library for so many years. Most of her time in between books included either Disney themed puzzles or homing in on her blackjack skills. Among those activities, she always enjoyed a competitive game of Bananagrams after dinner with her daughter, Kathy. Friends and family are invited to attend her Memorial Service on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at 11am at Greens Farms Congregational Church, 71 Hillandale Rd, Westport.
