Nicholas Casceillo

Nicholas F. Casceillo, 95, of Fairfield passed away peacefully on May 15, 2024. He was the beloved husband of 60 years to the late Theresa Stoklosa Casceillo. Nicholas was born in Bridgeport on January 3, 1929 to the late Nicola and Assunta Casceillo.

Nick graduated from Bullard Havens and enlisted in the United States Army where he served from 1951-1952  while stationed in Korea. Nick worked as a lineman for United Illuminating for many years retiring in 1985. He was a member of St Pius Parish in Fairfield. After retirement, Nick found joy in volunteering at Norwalk Hospital. Nick was proud of his Italian heritage. Nothing provided Nick more happiness than his family.

He is survived by his sons, Nicholas A. and  wife Mary Ellen and David and wife Jean and 7 grandchildren; Traci, Jennifer, Andrew, Jaime, John, Jeffrey, and  Clint  as well as 11Great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents he was predeceased by a granddaughter Kristin.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday May 29 at 11 AM at St. Pius X Church in Fairfield. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery.
