Patrick J. Dyer

Patrick Joseph Dyer of Fairfield, beloved husband of Nancy (Gregorio) Dyer, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 28, 2017. Born in Queens, NY, the son of late John and Margaret Ruth (Delap) Dyer, Patrick was the middle child of six. At the age of twelve Patrick and his family moved to Fairfield, CT where he quickly became a contributing member of the Fairfield community. He was a graduate of Fairfield College Preparatory School, class of 1972. Pat later went on to receive a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from the University of New Haven, and an MBA from Sacred Heart University. Pat always cherished his fond memories at Prep, maintaining countless friendships over the years. He relocated to Fort Lauderdale, FL, to work for Lonestar Industries, where he met the love of his life, Nancy. The two returned to Fairfield in 1983 to raise their three daughters. Patrick was an active member of the Gaelic American Club, S.S. Norden Club and Police Athletic League. He was an avid reader, writer, and speaker, and could often be found passionately discussing politics and both American and Irish history. He loved to sing and dance whether it was to Frank Sinatra or Elvis "The King" Presley. Most of all Patrick loved making people laugh and enjoying time with family and friends. Survivors, in addition to his loving wife Nancy, include three beloved daughters, Kathleen Dyer of Fairfield, Jacqueline Lasalle and husband Daniel of Bridgeport, Corinne Dyer of Fairfield; two grandchildren Bianca and Daniel Alexander; siblings Stephanie Armshaw of Stratford, John Dyer and wife Kathy of Monroe, Paul Dyer and wife Beverly of Fairfield, and Joseph Dyer of Fairfield; along with several nieces and nephews. Patrick is predeceased by his father, mother, and brother, Anthony. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, June 3rd at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Parish, 700 Old Stratfield Rd., Fairfield, CT.
