Peter Koulogianis

Peter Koulogianis, age 57, passed peacefully into everlasting life on Tuesday, August 20.

Peter was born in Stamford to the late George and Evagelia Koulogianis. Raised by Greek immigrants Peter had a strong work ethic and an unwavering dedication to his family. 

Peter was deeply passionate about all things in life. He was eternally curious with a lifelong appetite for learning. He could always be found building or tinkering with something, whether it was a kitchen remodel, a complex lego set or just a simple repair needed in daily life. Perhaps the most important thing he built was Country Cow Deli, which he leaves behind as his legacy. Through hard work, dedication, and a strong vision he, along with his wife and daughter, built Country Cow into a staple of the Fairfield community.

Peter loved his family and friends fiercely. His marriage to Kathy was a love story for the ages and served as an example to many. He was a pillar of strength and compassion who always helped others in need and his embrace was a calm port in any storm.

Peter leaves behind the love of his life, Kathy and his beloved daughter Kayla. In addition, he is survived by his brother Leonidas (Debi) Koulogianis, and several nieces and nephews.

A viewing for family, friends, and the community will be held at Spear Miller Funeral Home Sunday August 25 from 4 – 7pm, 39 South Benson Rd in Fairfield. An additional viewing will be held Monday August 26 at 10 am at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 1230 Newfield Ave in Stamford followed immediately by a funeral service at 11AM. Interment will be private.
