Peter “Pete” Trifiatis, 75, of Fairfield was reunited in Heaven with his beloved wife, Carol Janine (“Jan”), on the early morning of November 23, 2023. Pete was born in Fort Riley, Kansas on July 22, 1948 to the late Peter and Nina Trifiatis. He was also predeceased by his identical twin brother, William, and his older sister, Dorothy. He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Bissell, her husband Brian, their two children, and his son, Peter Trifiatis, his wife, Jennifer, and their two children. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family members.
After completing his Master’s degree, Pete had a long and successful career in technology sales for which he won multiple awards. A man of deep, yet quiet faith, Pete was an active member of Fairfield Grace United Methodist Church for many years. At different times throughout his life, Pete could be found coaching his kid’s soccer team, leading an Indian Guides meeting, dressing up as Santa for a church function, or teaching a Sunday school class. Pete was also an avid reader of Fantasy and Science Fiction novels. His greatest joy, however, came from his family, especially his grandkids.
Family and friends may visit at the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Rd., Fairfield, on Friday December 1 from 4-7PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society (https://www.cancer.org/donate.html).
