Robert “Bob“ Klein , 45 , of Stratford passed away in the loving embrace of his wife Rebecca on September 14, 2024 after a long courageous battle with Leukemia.

Bob was born in Glendale, CA on July 12, 1979, to Susan Klein. Bob went on to become a drafting designer and had a very successful career as a plumbing designer in the MEP department at BL Companies. In his free time, you would always find Bob enjoying the great outdoors. He had a love for camping, hiking, fishing and bike riding as well as photography. He had an amazing ability to capture the pure beauty of nature. He also enjoyed his backyard birds. Some of his favorite times were sitting around a campfire with friends and family. He was an amazing leader and mentor to many scouts in Cub scout Pack 172 and Troop 72 of Stratford, he loved to share his vast knowledge of outdoor skills and knot tying abilities. Above all, he loved his family with all his heart and always put them first.

In addition to his high school sweetheart and wife Beckie of 20 years, Bob is survived by his son Aiden who was the light of his life. He enjoyed sharing his love of the outdoors, photography, music and gaming with him every chance he had, leaving him with so many memories to cherish.

He is also survived by his mother, Susan Klein, grandmother, Sara Klein, sister Michele Smith, brother in law, Michael Smith and nephew Callen. As well as his father and mother in law, Frank and Patricia Squezello, who loved him like a son and Sarah Squezello. He also leaves behind aunts, uncles, cousins and so many friends that adored him. He was predeceased by his grandfather, Andrew Klein. Bob had a smile that would light up the room. His laughter was infectious and everyone that knew him loved him. His willingness to help others and his genuine kind spirit will live on in all of us along with so many wonderful memories. The family would like to extend a thank you to all of his doctors at Smilow Cancer Hospital as well as all of the amazing nurses on NP-7 and NP-12 that took such good care of him over the last 6 years .
