Roberta R. Riordan

Roberta R. Riordan of Milford and Clinton, Connecticut died in her home on Friday, February 5, 2016. She was 74. Roberta was the wife of William J. Riordan (1938-2011), the former CEO of St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport, and the mother of two sons, William Jr. and Robert. The Riordans were residents of Southport for over 30 years. Roberta was born in Worcester, MA to Robert and Margaret Toohil. She attended St. Peter's School and Worcester Junior College. After raising her sons, she received her Bachelor of Arts from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield in 1988. She is survived by her two sons, William J. Riordan of Shelton, and N. Robert Riordan of New York, NY, and her three grandchildren, Courtney, Brittany and Will. Viewing hours will be on Monday, February 8, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Christ the Redeemer Church, 325 Oronoque Road, Milford. Memorial contributions can be made in Roberta's name to the National MS Society.
