Roger Carter Burritt

Roger Carter Burritt passed away on July 16, 2014 at Bridgeport Hospital. He was born in West Haven, Connecticut November 6, 1926 to the late Elihu A. and Elizabeth Carter Burritt. In addition to his wife of 63 years, Sabra, he is survived by his son, John, wife, Mary Ellen, and their children, Brian, Daniel, Emily and Luke, and three daughters; Joan, her sons, Jonathan and Andrew Lee; Ellen, her husband Bill Janiga, their children Seth, Carly and Willy; Sandra, her husband, Bill Boynton, their children, Billy, Jesse, Jack, Grace, and Abbey; niece, Susan Koperwhats; nephew, Tom Burritt. His brother Bill pre-deceased him. A graduate of Stratford High School, he was employed at Burritt Lumber and Warren Trask and was an Army, WWII veteran. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the First Congregational Church of Stratford.
