Ronald J. Piacente

Ronald Joseph Piacente (Ron), 73 years old, passed into eternal rest on June 19, 2023, after a valiant battle with myelodysplastic syndromes and acute myeloid leukemia.  He was a beloved husband to Deborah Piacente, devoted father to Jason Piacente (Courtney), and loving “Papa Ron” to granddaughters Lynley and Maelen.

Ron was born at Stamford hospital in CT to Joseph Piacente and Dorothy Rohacik on October 19, 1949.  Where he grew up with his sister Debra on DuBois street in Darien.  His entire career was in Telecommunications as he worked for SNET who subsequently became AT&T.

Ron loved building his own computers, listening to music, playing the drums, Italian food, and most of all, cars. He loved golf, and played in weekly golf tournaments after work. He was quite handy and could fix (or find a way to fix) almost anything.

Ron brought so much joy over the years to his family and friends.  He was kind, generous, and loving.  In addition to his son and grandchildren, Ron is survived by his sister, Debra, half-brother Paul, cherished nephews and nieces, and many cousins.  He will be missed greatly by many and his memories will be cherished by his family and friends for years to come.

Friends are invited to visit with the family on Tuesday, June 27 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Spear Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield, CT.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 28 at 10 am at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish, 1719 Post Road, Fairfield, CT.
