Ronald "Ronnie" C. Lasky

"You’re so vain you probably think this obituary is about you"

Ronald Charles Lasky (RCL), age 57, of Bridgeport, passed away on Wednesday November 23rd surrounded by those who loved him and in the hearts of some of his favorite people in the world while entering his state of peace.

Ron was an avid sports fan, especially of the Miami Dolphins and New York Yankees. He was the first to gather the family up for a wiffle ball game, always having sports equipment in his trunk.  Ron was an inspiration to many with his positivity, confident attitude, and contagious laugh; often making up nicknames, silly songs and turning bad situations into good.  Ron was a talented chef, creative on a whole different level, the smartest man in any room, and a diehard Jeopardy fan.  We will miss the way he told stories, rocked a pair of cowboy boots and his love of music, and how he was never afraid to be the first one on the dance floor or to sing his heart out.

Ron is survived by his children who he loved more than anything in the world, Amanda (Da Da) Barnard and her husband Matt Barnard of Watertown; Stephanie (Shaq) Barton and her husband Wally Barton of Clermont FL; his only son, Brandon (Boy) Lasky of Shelton; his daughter, Jayne Kay (JG) Lasky of Shelton; and his daughters, Rachael and Rebecca (the Bobos) Lasky of Shelton.  He is the Proud Papi of Matthew Jr., Zackary, Paisley, Gina, and Harper.  He is also survived by his extraordinary parents, Lawrence Lasky and Kathryn Sadler Lasky of Bridgeport, along with his siblings Leanne (Lee) Amaral, Suzanne (Q) Lasky,Gordon (G) Lasky & his life partner Gabriella Kovacs, and half-brother, Michael Steeves.  He was also the fun Uncle to his numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved as if they were his own.  Ronnie also leaves behind the mothers of his children, whom he appreciated beyond measure for their hard work in raising his children, Lisa Barry Lasky, Elizabeth Sentocnik, as well as his current partner Joan Walsh.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects Wednesday, November 30, 2022 from 4-7pm at the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Ron on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at 11am at St. Andrew Church, 395 Anton Street, Bridgeport. As Ron’s greatest joy in life were his children, in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the scholarship fund created for his youngest girls, Jayne, Rachael, and Rebecca. Donations can be sent c/o Amanda Barnard at 103 Mount Fair Drive, Watertown, CT 06795
