Sara Parsons Kenney

Sara P. Kenney age 89, of Fairfield, devoted wife to the late James E. Kenney, passed away peacefully in her sleep Friday, June 16, 2017. She was a loving mother to her daughter Dianne and sons James and Kevin. She will be greatly missed by her 8 grandchildren, Jake and Nicole, Tom, Jason and Erik, Jennifer, Andrea, and James and by her 6 Great Grandchildren Owen, Kameron and Zachary, Abigail and Kira and Jackson. She was also predeceased by her brother Alonzo Parsons. Sara attended Lasell Junior College and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Needlework Guild. Sara enjoyed volunteering at the Grasmere Senior Center which she did for 11 years. Among her many talents were beautiful knitted creations and counted cross stitch artwork which she shared with her family and friends. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 S Benson Rd., Fairfield with interment to follow in Mt. Grove Cemetery of Easton. Friends may call Tuesday, June 20, 2017 from 4 - 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
