Sean Sullivan

With profound sadness and immense gratitude for the time we shared, we celebrate the life of Sean Farrell Sullivan, who passed away peacefully on February 18, 2025, at the age of 36, surrounded by his loving family. Born on April 14, 1988, in Bridgeport, CT, Sean was the beloved son of Raymond Sullivan, his unwavering champion, and the late Marianne Sullivan, his greatest friend and kindred spirit.

Sean grew up in Shelton, Connecticut, where his vibrant spirit and boundless creativity took root, always following wherever his newfound interests led. If he wasn’t playing the drums or guitar and jamming with his band, you might find him working on a new artistic creation. If he wasn’t at the skate park with friends, he could be found skim boarding at the beach in Rhode Island, where he enjoyed many summers with his family. He found great joy in all that life had to offer and deeply cherished the time he spent with friends whom he made so effortlessly.

Sean graduated from Shelton High School, and went on to attend the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA, a city that forever held his heart, and where his great interest in creative expression blossomed into a consuming passion. He was a talented artist, as well as an art enthusiast, history buff, musical aficionado, and avid reader—or, as he would say, “a little bit of everything.” He dedicated his life to making everything around him beautiful. He would refer to himself as a polymath, who could draw on his vast knowledge to solve specific problems and forge deep connections, which he absolutely did. Whether through painting, writing, making music, filming videos, or encouraging meaningful conversation, Sean had an innate ability to turn the ordinary into something extraordinary and unforgettable. If sharing his creative passions had been his vehicle, he’d have driven endlessly if it brought someone joy. He was a storyteller, a humorist, and an artist— and much like his late mother before him, he was always eager to educate, inspire, and share his passions with others. To him, nothing was more fulfilling than encouraging a smile, sharing a laugh, or highlighting the unique beauty in everyday moments that we can too often overlook. For many years, Sean worked at the Sullivan Architectural Group, and took great pride in working alongside his father, using his artistic eye to create architectural renderings that brought designs to life. His adoring family will forever love him, forever miss him, and be extraordinarily proud of the remarkable man he was and the countless lives that he touched.

Sean is survived by his father, Raymond Sullivan and his wife Cindy Morgan, his brother Conor Sullivan and his wife Sharlyne Rhodes, his brother Dylan Sullivan and his husband Justin Willard, as well as his niece, Blake Sullivan, and nephew Bryce Sullivan whom he adored beyond measure in his cherished role as the “fun” uncle. Sean also leaves behind his treasured extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins with whom he felt blessed to share his life so closely and who truly meant the world to him. Sean was predeceased by his mother Marianne Sullivan.

Sean chose to be an organ donor, and as a result of his gift, we are grateful that his donation has gone on to save three lives.
