Sheryl Lynn Rosen

After a long, courageous battle with cancer, Sheryl Rosen was reunited in Heaven with her family on May 3, 2017. Born in Bridgeport, Sheryl was a lifelong area resident. She graduated with honors from Long Island University, and pursued a career in sales and marketing. One of Sheryl's greatest passions was baseball, and she was a die-hard Boston Red Sox fan like her father. Sheryl was also the President of the Bridgeport Bluefish Booster Club for 2 years. Sheryl is survived by her nephew, Jonathan Lavenski, of Fort Worth TX, her beloved cat Ellie, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She is predeceased by her loving parents, Eleanor and Saul Rosen, as well as her beloved animals, Welcome (dog), and Mandy (cat). Sheryl could not have endured these past 8 years without the love and support of her many friends from all phases of her life. Additionally, special thanks to Dr. Glen Reznikoff, Dr. Grace Kim, as well as the 9 South staff and St. Joseph's Center for their exemplary care. A memorial service will be held at Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Rd., Fairfield Friday, May 5 at 4 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Vincent's Swim Across the Sound.
