Shohoukh Dorri

Shohoukh Dorri, of Woodbridge, beloved wife of the late Abrahim Dezhbod, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 14, 2017. Born in Iran, Mrs. Dorri came to the United States in 2000. A nurse and mid-wife, She graduated in Nursing from the Christian Missionary Hospital and received her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing form Shiraz University in Iran and worked her whole career in the nursing and medical field. She was devoted to her belief in Christianity and loved volunteering at her church. Survivors include her children, Fr. Esmail (Monireh) of Naugatuck, Rev. Shahram (Sue), Sholeh (Rev.Omid) of Rasht, Iran, Rev. Shahrzad (Rev. Samer)of Kemptville, Canada and Shahriar (Rona) of Perth, Australia a brother, Aziz, 13 grandchildren and spouses, and her nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 11:00 am at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 294 Main Street, Woodbury, CT. Interment will follow in North Cemetery, Woodbury. The family wishes to thank the staff of VITAS Healthcare of Middlebury for the care and compassion provided to Mrs. Dorri during her illness. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Vitas Health Care of Middlebury, 199 Park Road Ext. # 102, Middlebury, CT 06762.
