Theresa Veronica Mollica, age 67, of Fairfield, beloved wife of William M. Mollica, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on June 24, 2022 following a courageous 21+ year duel with cancer. Born in Brooklyn, NY the daughter of the late Anthony and Eugenia Taibbi, she was raised in Staten Island where she attended John the Baptist De LaSalle elementary school and graduated from Curtis High School. She began working in the financial district of New York City at the age of 17 and enjoyed a career in corporate and small business accounting and finance administration working for such firms as AIG Risk Management (NYC), Associated Aviation Underwriters (NYC), Morelight Development (Elmsford, NY), Family Dental Group (Fairfield, CT) and David Scott Parker Architects (Southport, CT). Terri was also a Licensed Home Child Day Care provider in Connecticut. She was a Past Treasurer of the Nutmeg Quilters Guild and the Holland Hill Elementary School PTA. Terri enjoyed playing organized softball during her school years and afterwards, was an avid quilter for several years, and loved a wide range of popular music. Her greatest joy was “making memories” by spending time with her loving and devoted family, and close friends.
Survivors in addition to her loving husband, Bill include two beloved children, Alyssa Mollica and Alex Mollica; two sisters, Patty Ann Castagliola of Staten Island, NY and Donna Muscato of Upstate, NY; a brother, Dominic Taibbi of Staten Island, NY; and her beloved in-laws Salvatore (and Mary Beth) Mollica of Westport CT, Tony (and Clare) Mollica of Florence TX, and nieces and nephews.
