Besides art, Thomas relished spending time with his family and friends, who knew him as fun-loving, active, introspective and caring. He also greatly enjoyed being active with swimming, basketball, cycling, and ice skating. He was an inspiration for many throughout his fight with cancer, striving through numerous setbacks for more than a decade. He was predeceased by his father, Joseph, and brother, Joseph Sevitski Jr. Tom is survived by his loving and caring family: mother Anna Sevitski; sister Deborah Lake; brother in-law William Lake, sister in-law Patricia Sevitski; nieces and nephews Sean Sevitski, Jonas Sevitski, Michele Britt, Brian Caldwell, and Jason Caldwell; and many thoughtful cousins. Thomas and the family share great appreciation for numerous friends, doctors, nurses, and caregivers, who helped him in his time of need. In particular Richard White, who was an extremely supportive friend.
